The tone of the novel is very satirical. Dickens satirizes the workhouse system, the justice system, etc. The way Dickens wrote Oliver Twist is very around the point. Most of the time the story doesn't get straight to the point but skirts around it. Provide two expressions as illustrations for Dickens' satiric writing.
